So, I'll back you up one the story. During WWII, a group of Americans intruded a Japanese island containing a possible weapon. Once the attack began, the American squad had found a defector, describing the "Black Weapon" was initiated. Buzzing and loud tones shaking the island gave the Americans no choice but to escape. The Americans made a hasty escape via submarine, but drowned due to a massive tidal wave. Some 70 years later, Bad Company, a squad of juvenile men, looks for an HVT somewhere in Northern Russia. within the squad is Haggard, a demolition expert, Sweetwater, the medic and suppresing fireman, Sarge, the leader of B-Company, and Preston Marlowe, the Antagonist of the game. The main objective of BC2's sotryboard is to elminate a Russian Protagonist named Arkady Kirelenko (Ar-kay-dee keer-il-in-ko). Most of the game, you track him down along with side objectives, such as rescuing your Commie-Pinko-Liberal Hippie pilot, Flynn, a master of the UH-60 Blackhawk. Let's get back to the game, though. Bad Company is first shown entering an Arctic Russian base somewhere in Northern Russia. At first, they target the 'HVT' (Kirelenko) whom executes an American Agent. Bad Company then locates a target vehicle, which is similar to a ZIL-157 Ural 375D 6x6 4-ton general purpose cargo truck manufactured by the Ural Automotive Plant of the SFSR, as pictured here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6d/Ural_375D_truck.jpg
After the ZIL-175 is captured, Bad Company then makes its way towards South America to find a CIA agent named Aguire. After multiple gunfights throughout the jungle, Bad Company finds Aguire and gives him a metallic silver USB drive containing information of a Scalar weapon, an Electromagnetic device capable of perminately shutting down the U.S. Power Grid, giving the Ultranationalists the invading advantage. The only thing America has to stop them is Bad Company, and a whoole lotta' intel inside a satellite orbiting Earth. Throughout the next 2 missions, the player brings down the French satellite, and has a road-race to beat the Ultranationalists to it and grab the intel. After fighting of the Ulatranationalists, the player makes their way downhill through a heavy snowstorm. Marlowe meets up with Bad Company and Fynn fighting off Ultranationalists in a small mountain village. Marlowe fights his way to the rooftops and hops aboard the UH-60 and the team escapes.
We'll take a huge timeskip to the end of the game where the team is pursuing Arkady Kirelenko inside an Antonov AN-225d Mriya, Russian for 'Dream'. Haggard describes it as t he largest fixed wing aircraft in the world. With six turbines and a ton of room, Bad Company tracks down the Scalar weapon near the stern of the plane. Kirelenko is found inside the Scalar room close to activating it, when Haggard and Sweetwater blow to plane's back with 2 units of C4 [Compound 4].
After the ship explodes, Bad Company attempts to parachute from the plane. Sarge and Haggard make it, but Sweetwater is thrown out of the plane by Arkady while trying to hand you a parachute. You jump out of the plane, eliminate Kirelenko, and land with Sweetwater and the rest of the team in Arlington, Texas, USA. Haggard excitedly talks about "this girl named Chantel", when military general Braidwood interrupts them. He informs them that the Russians are invading, with Haggard responding, "Uh, no they aren't, we just blew up that Fu***** doomsday weapon of theirs, sir." Braidwood replies with, "Not here. They're coming in through Alaska." The game ends with the military convoy driving away as Sweetwater say, "Sometimes, it sucks to be right.", thus ending the Campaign mode of Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
